In this tutorial, which is part of our MyFitnessPal 101 series, you'll learn how to tap into valuable nutrition insights on your app. Check out the MyFitnessPal 101 playlist for more advice on making the most of every feature!
1) INSIGHTS: SEE AT-A-GLANCE STATS ON THE DASHBOARD
Your home screen dashboard displays your remaining calories for the day. Premium members can also customize the dashboard or choose one that aligns with a specific nutrition goal, such as a macronutrient focus, heart health, or low carb.
2) DAILY TOTALS: FOLLOW ALL YOUR NUTRITION PROGRESS
Use the Nutrition tab to see how you’re tracking for calories, nutrients, and macros. Easy-to-read pie charts and graphs break it all down. Upgrade to Premium to also see which of your logged foods is highest in carbs, fat, and protein. This makes it easy to identify the foods that fuel you best.
3) WEEKLY DIGESTS: ANALYZE 7-DAY TRENDS
It’s also possible to follow your progress on a weekly basis and look back at previous weeks to see trends in your eating habits over time. In the Nutrition tab, toggle to “Week View” and change the date.
4) FOOD TIMESTAMPS: TRACK WHEN YOU EAT
*What time* you eat can affect your energy and hunger levels, workouts, and progress just as much as *what* you eat. For Premium members on the mobile app, food timestamps allow you to track and edit the time for each food entry.
