To clarify the authenticity of this video. All passenger trains, freight trains, circus trains etc. Are required to have an on-board camera as well as instrument recording devices. Just as an Airplane has a black box.
In the final video you can clearly see the train hitting the car and the broken glass from said vehicle flying into view of the camera. You do not see the car being pushed by the front of the train because of the height of the Locomotive however, you can clearly see the engineer getting out to try and assist. Obviously nothing could be done.
2: The grainy video. A local hardware store in the vicinity of the railroad crossing had security camera's, the video you are seeing has been edited ,and cut out part of the parking lot the camera was actually monitoring and zoomed in.Thus you can see the Ford fusion crossing the tracks. For more information google search this accident. They did not show video on the news obviously because of the graphic content.
July 2009----- 5 passengers in a ford fusion traveled around and across a railroad crossing with gates down and were hit by an amtrak train and all 5 were killed instantly, i put together this video of pictures and actual video of the accident as it happens and the 911 call.
