The SQL mode settings between Windows and Mac community edition 8 are different. This can cause differing results when the same query is run in the two environments. This video shows how to set the Windows settings to mirror those of the Mac. A second video will show how to change the Mac settings to mirror the Windows.
The setting string from the Mac configuration to input to the Windows config file is: "ONLY_FULL_GROUP_BY,STRICT_TRANS_TABLES,NO_ZERO_IN_DATE,NO_ZERO_DATE,ERROR_FOR_DIVISION_BY_ZERO,NO_ENGINE_SUBSTITUTION"
Very important that it begins and ends with double quotes and each phrase is separated by a comma.
