0:24 This week's tip is all about content creation for your Youtube channel. First, let's begin with some of the most popular types of videos that people make on Youtube. You can have Powerpoint or Keynote presentations, screencasts, stuff from Fiverr like animations, paper clipping and drawings and of course, the most popular which is presenting in front of the camera.
0:43 Now that you know the sorts of videos that you can make, here's our 4-step formula to help you make better videos for your business.
0:51 Step one is the Opener. This is the most important part of your video. Statistics show that most videos are closed within the first 5 seconds of them starting. So you want to do something that's going to capture the audience's attention straightaway. And this is what we call a Patter Interrupt in marketing. Instead of wasting your first 5 seconds of your video on like a logo or like an animated title, you want to do something different. A great example of Pattern Interrupt is simply just - "In this video, you're going to learn XYZ".
1:22 Step two is the Introduction. Now this is where you can put your branding. If you have a nice animated logo for your title, that is great, you can use that. If you don't, you can be creative. You can hold up a piece of paper with your logo. In this part of the introduction, what you want to do is give out stuff like your name, your company, the name of your TV show. So say for example - "Hi, my name is James and welcome to James' Mowing. I'm the founder of James' Mowing Company and this show is all about how to cut your grass the right way."
1:52 Step three is the Body of your show. This is where you give all the content that your viewers want. A lot of keyword research in our previous video will help you decide what you want this part to be about.
2:04 Step four is the Call To Action. Every video must have a strong call to action at the end of it. There's no point making videos just for the sake of making videos. We must have a purpose or a reason why you're making this video. So at the end of each video, make sure you tell your viewers what it is you want them to do. Whether it is to subscribe to your Youtube channel, to sign up to your email list or to buy a product or service that you have.
2:28 And finally, the most important rule about online video, the shorter the videos, the better. We find videos that are about 2-3 minutes in length.
